Find your polling booth before you miss your chance to vote
BC's general local election is on Saturday, October 17, 2026, and every city and town decides for itself where its polling booths are, which days advance voting runs, and what hours each place is open. That is why so many people end up searching "where do I vote?" the week of the election.
Choseno's find your polling booth feature pulls those published voting places together in one spot. Enter your address or share your location on Find My District and you will see your electoral district, the voting places in your municipality sorted by distance, and the dates and hours each one is open.
What the polling booth finder shows you
- Closest voting places first: share your location and the list sorts by distance, so the nearest booth is at the top.
- Advance voting and election day: every place shows which days it is open, so you can pick the day that suits your schedule.
- Filter by date: tap a date such as Sat, Oct 10 or Wed, Oct 14 to see only the places open that day.
- Add it to your calendar: tap a date and hours on any booth to add it to Google Calendar, or download a calendar file for Apple Calendar and Outlook, with a reminder before you head out.
- Get directions: tap the booth name or Get directions to open it in your maps app.
How to find your polling booth in three steps
- Open [Find My District](/find-my-district) and allow your location, or type your address.
- Scroll to "Where to vote in your city" to see the closest places and filter by the day you want.
- Tap a date to add it to your calendar so advance voting does not slip past you.
Where we have polling booth data
Choseno has published voting places for over 100 BC municipalities for the October 17, 2026 election, including Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Kelowna, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kamloops and Abbotsford. Each local government publishes its own information, so some smaller towns have not posted locations yet. We keep adding places as they are announced.
Voting places and hours can change, so check your local government's election page before you go. Voters also need acceptable ID, and you can register when you vote.
Learn who is on your ballot too
Finding your booth is only half of voting. The same page shows every race on your ballot and the candidates running in it, so you can read about them and rate them before you cast your vote. Use the bar below to see your district automatically from your location, then open any race on Elections.
Provincial election note: the BC provincial election is on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Elections BC assigns provincial voting places by address and posts them on its Where to Vote page, so use that for your provincial polling place.
