Health Ministry funds 40 new specialized paramedic response vehicles for remote and agricultural communities.
EDMONTON, Alta. — Premier Danielle Smith and Alberta Health Services announced a $30-million capital investment to expand rural ambulance fleets and dispatch technology across central and northern Alberta.
"When emergencies happen in rural Alberta, every minute matters," Smith said. "These vehicles ensure paramedics have the equipment they need to stabilize patients before hospital arrival."
The funding also covers recruitment bonuses for advanced care paramedics willing to relocate to rural divisions.
