Canada imposes new sanctions against individuals and security entities obstructing commercial navigation in global transit lanes.
OTTAWA, Ont. — Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand announced coordinated sanctions targeting five individuals and entities involved in maritime disruption.
"Freedom of international navigation is essential for global stability and commercial supply chains," Anand said in Ottawa. "Canada will hold accountable any actors attempting to undermine international maritime law."
