SURREY, B.C. — During her annual State of the City address, Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke placed heavy emphasis on community safety and local infrastructure growth.
Locke announced sweeping initiatives including the addition of 560 safety personnel—spanning police officers, firefighters, and bylaw officers—over the next five years. Plans also feature a new 15-acre public safety campus in the Anniedale Tynehead neighborhood alongside expanded utilization of AI-enabled drone technology.
